The Telangana High Court has strongly criticized HYDRAA, a government agency, for its behavior in demolishing properties without following proper legal procedures. Justice K. Lakshman expressed his disapproval, stating that HYDRAA’s actions have exceeded its mandate.

About HYDRAA

The Telangana government recently made a key step by creating HYDRAA to defend ponds, government buildings, parks, and other areas within Hyderabad's bounds. Furthermore, HYDRAA’s duties include taking up rescue operations and helping the victims when natural disasters like heavy rain and floods occur.

However, there are criticisms about HYDRAA. The court's anger stems from HYDRAA’s decision to demolish properties without adhering to the necessary legal protocols. The agency's actions were deemed unlawful, and the court questioned the authority under which HYDRAA operated.

The Telangana High Court's criticism of HYDRAA raises questions about the agency's accountability and transparency. The court expressed displeasure that, no matter how many times it was stated that demolitions should be carried out in accordance with the law, HYDRAA’s behavior has not altered since the first notification and has not provided any proper explanation for the same.

In response to the court's criticism, HYDRAA has yet to issue a statement or clarify its actions. The agency's silence has only added to the controversy, with many calling for greater accountability and oversight.
